Please come stand in solidarity

With teachers, fire fighters, nurses, construction workers, public service employees and all who are under attack by state legislatures across the country.

Things have gotten extremely heated in the cold states of Ohio and Wisconsin this past week. Wisconsin's governor Walker and Ohio's governor Kasich have introduced bills that would strip public service employees of their right to bargain collectively, a right granted to Wisconsin workers over fifty years ago. These bills would also require employees to pay half of their pensions and increase their share of heath care costs, all while taking away their right to negotiate for fair benefits.

Thousands of workers, union and non-union, have gathered at the Wisconsin and Ohio statehouses in protest of this attack on the middle class.

We need to focus on creating jobs and restoring the middle class. Our firefighters, teachers, and nurses are critical members of our community. They are essential to the well-being and safety of our families.

Instead of cutting perks and waste in their own offices, these politicians are pushing cuts in wages, eliminating benefits and outsourcing our jobs. While we suffer, the same politicians support tax breaks for corporations and CEOs.

Please, come rally for the middle-class and workers' rights across the nation here in little rock!
