Thanks to our dedicated members and leaders working with our legislators, the CFC made progress on nearly all of our Ten Priorities for a Better Arkansas while also helping defeat some key negative bills!
January 2011
Over 60 people from 15 Arkansas communities gathered at the Capitol to see the Arkansas Legislature in action. They lobbied their legislators about after school programs, prison reform, and the Dream Act, among many other issues.
October 2010 - Education and Health
The Arkansas Legislature convenes in January and the 48 member organizations of the Arkansas Citizens First Congress will be there to advocate for our Ten Priorities for a Better Arkansas. We cannot be effective without your voice, but together we can be the change needed for our state’s future. This is part one in a three part series of updates focusing on legislative priorities for the CFC. This issue focuses on education and child health.
